About Loose Threads

Hi there! I’m Jenna, a one-woman show based in San Francisco, CA. I specialize in denim repair, but also work with a wide variety of garments including sweaters, t-shirts, knits, and woven fabrics. Each repair is done individually and thoughtfully by hand, using traditional and contemporary mending techniques. My goal is to repair your clothing preventatively and durably, so that you will not have to spend any more time and money down the line. Repairs can be subtle and nearly invisible, or intentionally visible and decorative depending on the needs of the garment and the preference of the customer.

While working in the corporate retail space, I quickly realized there was no true value to the work I was doing. I ended up mentoring under an incredible seamstress and tailor in San Francisco for years, specializing in denim and heirloom pieces that needed repair or rework. My passion for horseback riding also lead me to understand the value in a great pair of jeans. A pair that can last you a lifetime can be hard to find, but I’m here to make that possible.
